Whimsical Collection begins with original oil paintings by South African artist Dezireë Smith – wildlife, colour, pattern and quiet humour layered onto canvas, then translated into pieces made to be used, gifted, carried and kept.

There was a time when Africa felt endless. When the wilderness seemed too vast to lose, and the animals too many to ever disappear. Today, we know differently. What remains is more precious because it is not guaranteed.
